Legal

Licence

MIT licensed. Use it, change it, ship it — commercial use included.

Trailblazer is open source under the MIT License.

What that means, plainly

Can I use this for a client site?

Yes — any number of sites, personal or commercial, yours or a client’s.

Can I change the code?

Yes. Fork it, rewrite it, strip out half of it. The licence asks only that the copyright notice travels with substantial copies of the code.

Do I have to keep the footer credit?

No — it is appreciated, not required. It is one line in _includes/footer.html, marked with a comment.

Can I redistribute or sell a derivative theme?

Yes, under MIT you can — keep the licence and copyright notice in it, and please give your fork its own name so users can tell whose work they are running.

Fonts, icons and demo content

  • The icons and artwork were drawn for this theme and are MIT along with it.
  • The fonts — Inter, Space Grotesk, IBM Plex Mono — belong to their creators under the SIL Open Font License, loaded from Google Fonts by default.
  • The demo content is fictional placeholder material. Delete it; do not present it as real.

Trademarks

Not affiliated with Salesforce

Salesforce, Trailblazer, Trailhead, Apex and Lightning are trademarks of Salesforce, Inc. This theme is independent — not endorsed by, affiliated with, or sponsored by Salesforce — and ships none of their artwork. If you build a business on it, your use of those marks is between you and Salesforce’s trademark policy.

Warranty

None, as the licence says in capital letters. It is tested on current browsers and GitHub Pages, and bug reports are genuinely welcome — see the contribution guide — but nothing here is a guarantee.
