Ten years on the platform, and still reading release notes.
I am a Salesforce developer. Most of what I know came from breaking something in production first.
I started as the accidental admin at a retail company — the person who happened to be nearest the org when it needed someone. That turned into Flow, which turned into Apex, which turned into a decade of building on the platform for other people.
These days I work mostly on large Service Cloud orgs and the integrations hanging off them. The interesting problems are rarely the ones in the job description: they are governor limits that only bite at month end, deployment pipelines that nobody owns, and data models that made sense to someone in 2016.
What I write about
Things that took me longer than they should have. If I spent a day working something out, that is usually a day someone else is about to spend, and the post is cheaper than the day.
